Wed – Lock

Uzupis is the wedding capital of Lithuania. The bride is carried across the bridge by the groom, the stop half way and she attaches a padlock to the bridge and then throws the key into the river to symbolize an unbreakable bond. We were wondering is some brides merely pretend to throw the key and secret it in their voluminous gowns. We quickly dismissed this unromantic thought.
